Products and lots are mixed together
The shop knows the brand, but not always which lot was used, what remains or which job later had a finish issue.
Finishing-room software · SprayGrid
SprayGrid is a coming-soon Ryxen tool for manufacturers with in-house finishing. It connects finishing materials, lots, supplier documents, stock, booth and equipment maintenance, and quality issues without becoming a generic chemical-inventory or EHS platform.
Coming soon · initial focus: cabinet, millwork, furniture and wood-product manufacturers
The workflow gap
A finishing room can depend on coating products, lot numbers, technical sheets, open-container dates, booth filters, guns, pumps, defects and stock—yet much of that context often lives in labels, binders, whiteboards and individual experience.
The shop knows the brand, but not always which lot was used, what remains or which job later had a finish issue.
Official technical documents exist, yet finding the current source while standing in the finishing room can still be slow.
A date can matter operationally, but the software must never invent chemistry rules that the manufacturer did not publish.
Filters, guns, pumps and booth tasks affect finish quality even when the maintenance record is too small to justify a separate system.
The boundary matters
The scope is deliberately narrow. SprayGrid is designed to store and watch source-backed operational facts while leaving purchasing, enterprise EHS, plant-wide maintenance and formulation R&D to the systems that already own those domains.
The SprayGrid loop
SprayGrid centres on a small number of workflows that create operational memory without demanding a laboratory or enterprise software project.
Capture manufacturer, supplier, product family, lot number, quantity, location and official technical documents.
When an official source provides an opened-product use window, store the opened date and source-backed rule.
Optionally record mix references, lots, equipment and finish-run context so later quality issues have something to trace back to.
Low stock, document review, source-backed dates, booth PM and unresolved issues become a concise attention list.
Coming soon modules
SprayGrid is coming soon. The outline below shows the problem it is built to solve and the boundaries Ryxen intends to keep.
Manufacturer, supplier, category, package size, location, quantity and minimum-stock threshold.
Received/opened dates, remaining quantity, status and source-backed shelf-life fields when available.
Attach or link current technical documents with source, revision and review metadata.
Track finishing-specific booth, gun, pump, dryer and filter tasks—or link to ServiceGrid later.
Connect finish problems to material, lot, run, booth or equipment context when useful.
Surface only the finishing-room items that actually need attention.
The Ryxen finishing knowledge layer
Ryxen already publishes finishing-related procedures, material references and calculators. Those resources can support the workflow now while SprayGrid is coming soon.

A spray procedure answers how to perform a task. A material page provides product context. SprayGrid's future job is to remember which material, lot, document, equipment and exception belonged to the shop's real operation.
Product boundary
SprayGrid stays useful by keeping clear boundaries.

Common questions
These answers describe the initial SprayGrid scope and how to get launch updates.
SprayGrid is a focused operating layer for finishing materials, lots, technical documents, source-backed dates, finishing equipment context, quality issues and operational exceptions.
The initial target is small manufacturers with in-house finishing, especially cabinet, millwork, cabinet-door, furniture and wood-product shops where finishing complexity has outgrown memory, labels and binders.
SprayGrid is coming soon. Email hello@ryxen.ca for launch updates.
No. ServiceGrid remains the maintenance system when installed, and SafeDesk owns safety administration. SprayGrid is intended to keep finishing-room operational facts and link outward where necessary.
No. SprayGrid requires technical values such as mix ratio, shelf life and use windows to be tied to supplier or manufacturer sources rather than generated without a supporting source.
Email hello@ryxen.ca with the finishing-room workflow you would want the product to handle and what is difficult to track today.
