Daily log for monitoring cooling tower water chemistry — conductivity, pH, TDS, biocide levels, and bleed-off cycles. Pass/fail thresholds are based on manufacturer specifications and ASHRAE Guideline 12-2020. Each row includes a blank for actual readings so operators can record data directly on the floor.
This daily water treatment log is designed to verify that cooling tower chemistry stays within manufacturer‑specified limits for conductivity, pH, total dissolved solids (TDS), and biocide residual. Routine testing prevents scale deposition, corrosion, and microbiological fouling — extending equipment life and reducing unplanned downtime. Each inspection item includes a pass/fail checkbox and a blank for the actual reading. If a reading falls outside the tolerance band, the operator must document the issue in the Defect / Corrective Action Log below and initiate a work order.
- Verify lockout/tagout on the tower fan motor and chemical feed pump before accessing the basin. Confirm zero energy state.
- Wear chemical‑rated gloves, safety glasses, and a faceshield when handling treatment chemicals and collecting water samples.
- Conductivity meter and pH probe must be field‑calibrated daily per manufacturer instructions. Record calibration at the bottom of this log.
- Review SDS for all on‑site treatment chemicals (corrosion inhibitor, biocide, scale dispersant) before beginning the test sequence.
