Procedure: Step-by-Step
Preparation: Gather all tools and review inventory data from WMS to identify lots approaching expiry.
Identification: Locate all pallets/totes of same SKU; note date codes on labels; identify oldest lots.
Isolation: Move any newer stock away from the aging area to expose the oldest pallets.
Relocation: Transport oldest pallets to the pick face or production staging area.
Rotation: Place newer stock behind or below the moved-old stock, ensuring clear date‑visible labelling.
Documentation: Update bin locations in WMS to reflect the new positions; flag any expired materials for disposal.
Verification: Supervisor or quality control confirms rotation is complete; signs off on checklist.
